This year’s Winter Fuel grants scheme is now open for applications, with £200 per eligible household available.
- You can apply via email, using the form here, or
- You can print your form out, or use the copy tucked into the November KCDT newsletter and post it and the supporting documents into the Autumn Club, or
- You can drop into the Hall on the 16th November between 10 and 1
There are a few small changes from last year’s process. The first is that you can apply any time from now until 31st March 2025 and payments will be processed as applications are received. The second is that the our windfarm donor now requires KCDT to ensure it has evidence of residency for all people receiving a grant, which brings us into line with other similar schemes elsewhere. This means this year we are asking you to provide a copy of your Council Tax Notice for 2024-2025 as proof of residence. If you don’t pay Council Tax, get in touch with us to discuss. The third is that as well as being able to apply by email or by post, you can also drop in to the Village Hall on Saturday 16th November between 10am and 1pm and we will process applications in person while you have a cup of tea.
Remember we no longer get post sent to the old Machars Action address in Wigtown, so post any paper applications through the door at the Autumn Club. You can get the application form and FAQS here or email Rosie on grants@foundationscotland.org.uk with any questions.
