Kirkcowan Knitting Group meets every two weeks in the Village Hall. The group regularly has between seven and nine members, with additional friends sometimes attending. They enjoy having a natter while doing their needlework and help each other with any needlework-related problems.

Moira Macdonald, from the Knitting Group, says “We usually enter our items for the Christmas Xtravaganza and will be preparing our items for the next show in September. We enjoy our meetings as it is a lovely social gathering as well as doing something useful.”

Members are asked to contribute £1 per meeting towards the payment of the Village Hall, a cuppa and biscuits, and even a cake now and again.

The Kirkcowan Knitting Group is supported by KCDT and RES Glenchamber Wind Farm Fund.
